Oppo is all set to globally launch its highly anticipated Find X8 series, including in India, on November 21. The series includes two models: the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Following its earlier launch in China, the global release promises powerful performance and a camera-centric experience with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, Hasselblad-tuned cameras, and updated design elements, making it a noteworthy addition to Oppo’s flagship lineup.
The Find X8 series will focus on enhancing photography and performance. Continuing its collaboration with Hasselblad, Oppo has integrated the Hasselblad Master Camera System into both models to offer users refined cameras designed to improve colour accuracy and detail in images. The camera setup also includes an AI-powered Telescope Zoom feature, offering zoom capabilities beyond 10x, and a “Lightning Snap” mode, which can capture up to seven rapid shots per second.
In addition, Oppo has revealed that the quad-camera setup in the Find X8 Pro will include a dual-periscope telephoto camera for improved zoom and long-distance photography, with a focus on delivering true-to-colour results and minimising distortion. Oppo states that its new Find X8 series uses AI-driven tools to enhance low-light photography and maintain detail across various shooting conditions.
Under the hood, the smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which, according to early benchmarks, is said to be one of the most powerful chipsets for Android phones right now. This processor will enable the Find X8 series to handle demanding tasks such as gaming, photography, and AI applications efficiently.
Moving on to more details, based on the Chinese variants, the Oppo Find X8 features a 6.59-inch display with narrow bezels, while the Pro variant comes with a larger 6.78-inch quad-curved screen, which curves at the edges to offer users a more immersive viewing experience.
The Find X8 weighs 193 grams and has a thickness of 7.85mm. Both models will come with polished finishes and will be available in India in different colours—Star Grey and Space Black for the Find X8, and Space Black and Pearl White for the Pro model.
To power the phones, Oppo has included silicon-carbon batteries in both models. The Find X8 features a 5630mAh battery, while the Pro model offers a 5910mAh battery. Oppo claims that these large batteries are designed to last through extended daily use, with support for fast charging to reduce downtime.
The Find X8 series will introduce ColorOS 15, Oppo’s latest software iteration. This new software update includes productivity tools, layout improvements, and AI features. According to Oppo, ColorOS 15 is tailored to make better use of the hardware, offering a more responsive and user-friendly interface.
